You've had Thanksgiving, you've enjoyed family time, now it's time to do some shopping and eat the leftovers, of course! I am linking up with Missy at Dirt Road Teacher to bring you all some fun Thanksgiving leftover recipes, a HUGE giveaway and some amazing Black Friday deals!
I thought and thought about what to share with you all. Should I look online? In a cookbook? Or should I just tell them the truth? So… we are going with the truth.
Here's the truth… actually two truths. First… I don't cook for Thanksgiving, my mom does all the cooking. So my leftovers are whatever she gives me bring home. Does that count? I hope so. Second, I don't really cook. (I know… bad wife.) I tried to think of a cool recipe that I know to use with leftovers but I couldn't think of one…'cause I don't really have one.
So I will just share with what I actually do with my leftovers. Which isn't really a recipe but just a fancy mashup of all the leftovers! It's really easy to make and delicious.
I start with the Pillsbury crescents. If there are any leftover I use those, but in all honesty, there are never leftovers of those at our dinner. I just make sure to have an unopened one at home for leftovers.
While they are baking, I pop all the leftovers in the microwave. Once the crescents are slightly cool, but still warm, I cut them in half and add some turkey and a little bit of stuffing. Then I add either leftover cranberry sauce or gravy. Really… you could put anything in there. I've done leftover ham with stuffing too. I like to add leftover mashed potatoes if there are any. I think any combination works! Errr, except maybe green beans… I wouldn't add those.
So that's it… that's what I eat for leftovers.
Is it too easy? Yes.
Am I embarrassed to share this with you all? Only a little.
Is it super delicious? Yes! And it really is what I do with my leftovers, so there you go.
