So Cal Blog Surf

I am so excited for the blog hop!  A bunch of Southern California teachers teamed up to put on a fun blog "surf" for all you lovely teachers that are getting ready to head back to to school.

This awesome blog "surf" is beach themed… what else would you expect from gals that live by the beach?! So sit back, relax and enjoy the surf, sun, and sand… as we share with you our favorite beach spots, awesome freebies and a raffle!

This summer, my awesome hubby surprised me with a trip to Hawaii to visit my best friend! She lives in Oahu and has two adorable boys!  Her husband is away on deployment so I got to spend 2 weeks with her and the boys.  I loved spending time with them. They are the best little boys. The oldest loved to go to the beach. He's going to be a natural surfer…I'm sure of it.  The baby loves to laugh… you can tell in the picture. He is just the happiest baby ever!

While I was there, I got to spend some time relaxing on the beach! This California girl loves Hawaii beaches…just look at this water and this view! A girl could get used to this!  These are pictures of Kailua Beach. It's a small beach area but so beautiful.

And one more… for your viewing pleasure…

When you head back to school but want to imagine yourself on the beach… just think of yourself riiiight here! Toes in the water or kayaking on a sunny day!

To keep with the beach theme my freebie is a "Beach Themed Exit Tickets" product ! Exit tickets have been my new favorite tool to use as a quick way to check in on what my kiddos are thinking. As they imply…"exit ticket"… are given to your class at the end of the day, before leaving for recess, or after a lesson.  I have provided some with common questions and a blank one where you can ask your own question!

The best thing is that any grade level can use these! I normall teach 2nd grade and have used it with them, but this summer I taught 7th and 8th Self Reg. classes and I tried it with them too. I gained a lot of insight into what they were thinking too. So I strongly believe this is a tool that a teacher at any grade-level could use.

Just click on the picture to be taken to my store where you can download it for free! The best part is it will be saved in your products box under the freebie tabs for future use!

Make sure to surf through every gal's blog and follow their blog to enter this awesome giveaway! Four lucky winners will be chosen to win a $25 TpT gift certificate! Hurry this blog surf ends on August 4th and winners will be announced on the 5th… just in time to shop at the TpT Sale.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Next up is Kim from Finding JOY in 6th Grade!
