Tips and Tools for Back to School: Week 1

The life of a teacher….

Wait excitedly for summer vacation!

Relax for a day or two with nothing school related.

Start planning for the next school year… (yes… after only 2 days.)

If you're laughing, it's probably because I just described you.  My husband doesn't get it. As soon as I am done with one school year… I start planning and looking forward to the coming school year. It's the life of a teacher, I tell you.  I wouldn't have it any other way, either.

So… if you're anything like me then you will be excited for this new blog series I will be sharing with you.  A group of blog friends and I teamed up to bring you Tips and Tools for Back to School.

Each week a blog friend will share some cool tips for teachers. This week my best bloggy friend, Leah from Grasty's Second Grade Goodies is kicking off the series by sharing an awesome math planning tool! I am not joking when I say awesome.  It has everything a teacher could want when getting ready to plan for Comon Core Math.

The best part… if you head over to her blog she is offering it as a freebie! My favorite part of the freebie is the student friendly "I Can" statements. But that is not the only awesome part of this pack. It has the first 9 weeks of plans laid out, "I Can" checklists, parent letters, and even a daily math sheet.

Don't take my word for how awesome it is … go check out Leah's blog for yourself. Make sure to follow her blog and her store while you're visiting!

Remember each week a new bloggy friend will be sharing some great teaching tips. Can't wait for next week tips from Missy at  Dirt Road Teacher.
