I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching's Five For Friday… on Saturday. I know, I am late to the game. Sorry.
I was on Spring Break all week, so this Five for Saturday is all about what a teacher's week looks like when she doesn't have to be in a classroom.
I was really able to relax. I made it a point to spend some time outside. I also made it a point to not do too much. I had plenty of time to decompress. Just lounge… in my pajamas, of course, and rest! It was grand.
Don't think I stayed in my pajamas all day. Although, that would be fun too.
Eventually, I would get dressed and then I would try and do something I wouldn't normally get to do during the school day. So of course, I went to Starbucks! I got to actually hang out at Starbucks! Yup ... me, my laptop and my tea! Just hanging out with nothing much to do. It was grand. I'm just a tad bit envious of those people lounging at Starbuck when I'm in a rush. This week it was my turn!
I met up with one of my grade level partners at Balboa Island! I love this little island. I think it's so romantic and the perfect setting for a Nicholas Sparks novel. I know he sticks to South Carolina but if he ever needed a new setting, I'd recommend Balboa Island.
We basically walked the perimeter of the main island and the mini island. Only three miles in all. It was nice to just walk, check out all the beautiful houses and chat with my friend… about non-school stuff, of course.
The picture is a view from the bridge that connects the two islands. It was a little bit cloudy but still a beautiful day. It makes me crave summer. (How many more days?)
In the same parking lot as the spa is Barnes and Nobles. Teachers should not be allowed to go into Barnes and Nobles. It's a deadly combination. Lucky for me and for my wallet, it's Teacher Appreciation Week and I got 25% off everything.
I picked up some Mo Williems books. My kiddos are obsessed with this author! They LOVE all of his books. They literally cheer when I bring out a new Mo Williems book. Mo Williems is a clever story-teller. His characters are so lovable!
I also picked up a book for myself. Recognize the author? It's Lauren Graham from Gilmore Girls. I was fan of that show growing up!
I saved the best for last! I am having a sale on TpT this Sunday and Monday! Actually a bunch of teachers are! "Hop" over to TpT for "egg"stra savings.
Lastly, I'd like to say….this week was also special because spent time reflecting on Easter and the Passion of our Lord. I promise to not get preachy but I would not be truthful about myself if I ignored my faith. Everything I got to to do and enjoy this week including having this little blog is because I'm so blessed; and I know ALL my blessings come from God.
Jesus thank you for giving your life out of love for me. You make my heart leap with joy!
Happy Easter and blessings to you all!

I love the island picture. Oh, I would love to visit there. I would probably never come back home though. Stephanie from Principal Principles
